We’d definitely like a better way to explain exactly why you owe what you owe, but unfortunately it’s surprisingly tricky, since people often pay for things out of order. For now, your best option is probably to look at the printable summary page on our website, which gives a detailed breakdown of recent expenses for each person.Siva commented
it will be more convenient and self explanatory if summary of how the total arrived is shown for every individual
Thanks for suggesting Tez as a payment method! We’ll leave this under review for further voting.Siva commented
it will be pretty much helpful if you could integrate TEZ
We do plan to integrate more payment methods beyond paypal, but will be doing it based on how many votes it gets on the forum here.
Sorry for the confusion! We try to make it clear any time you add someone that you are in fact sending them an invite/receipt – if there’s a particular place where we missed that or did it poorly, let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re definitely considering making emails optional, but it’s a complicated decision, both for business and user experience reasons. For now, it is possible to create groups where not all members have email addresses, which may help you out. Apologies for the trouble!
Updating this as it’s been a while. We still definitely want to improve this as a way to share your balances offline. Leaving this open for further voting and comments.
We do allow you to send reminders via email in the app and on the website you can grab a printable group summary from the group expense list month headers. I’m not sure if we’ll ever support whatsapp directly, but we’ll consider it if this gets a lot of votes.
We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!
