Bank account details somewhere/anywhere
Hi. Liking this service so far.
Its nice keeping track of debts, however, it is not much use not knowing how to pay it. (Not everyone uses paypal).
In UK and Australia, someone just needs bank account details to do a transfer. Would be nice either to have one or all of the following:
My own account details available for my friends to see. Even if not in their own fields, maybe in a "other info" memo type field.
Or be able to put my own comments on my friends so I can make a note of their account details. (or if I think they arent good at paying back)
When the expense is added... to explicitly send a custom email out to the involved people with my bank account details
I understand that it can be hard trying to look at expenses from different granularities, ie "how much in total do I owe this person" vs "how much is owed for this expense" vs "how much for this group for this person"
Keep up the good work!
Storing bank account #s is unfortunately tricky, as there are some serious security concerns around bank #s here in the US and in some other countries. Still, we’d like to do it if possible. It’s not on our roadmap yet, but we’re definitely considering it for the future.

In todays banking options, several banks now provide custom payment links to allow users to request money from people. My suggestion is to add an option for a text based custom payment option to the Settle up feature. This way a user can allow people to settle up via unlimited options.
There are a number of feedback requests for more payment options, but my suggestion is to appease several of these in one broad way. This allows people to suggest a link to their bank, or any other 3rd party, without you needing to code the integrations.
As a software developer myself, I do see some concerns with this method. I would add a caution warning to the users upon clicking it that it will be taking them to a 3rd party site and to check things like scam sites, so maybe thats a reason you have not implemented this kind of flexible option.
But its there for discussion anyway :-)

A simple "Other information" field would be enough on the account. One can put whatever they want in this and you don't have to bother with security concerns (however 8 years should have been enough to securely store a bank account number in a database :D ). Settling up is starting to be very annoying because the lack of this feature.
