Facilitate Multiple Groups within a Group.
Instead of hiding the expenses when Balance is $0,
Settle Up a Group Month Wise, so that a same group can be used, thus avoiding duplicate groups.
So that we can have Monthly Balances & a Gross Total Balance.
Multiple Groups within a Group will give us more flexibility & Ease.
Right now i am creating a Group Every Month.
I’ll pass on the suggestion! I’m not sure it’s applicable to a lot of Splitwise users – most people only use one group on Splitwise, or no groups at all – but it’s an interesting idea, and worth discussing.

I’m suggesting to have nested groups. So for example, I’m my apartment group, I might need to make another group for all the groceries we bought this week and next week for another purchase, I can make a new sub group saying “Walmart <Date>”. Please see if you can accommodate this. This will be really helpful.
Thanks

It would be convenient if you could create events within groups. Thus all the expenses would be clearly arranged.
E.g.: within a group of people who race together you could create an event for every race weekend, which consits of alle the expenses for this precise weekend. On the above level (in the "normal" group) you can create the expenses which are for the whole season.

Hi,
I want to creat a sub group under a group for each month
Ex:- i am part of a group called flatmates under which is it possible to have jan expenses as one group and feb as another group or something else where i can differentiate between the expenses of each month -

Or it can Be of any Time Span.
Cause Expenses can be related to a Month, a Road Trip or a Long Weekend. The Basic idea is if you can allow Multiple Sub-Groups within a Group which can show Summary of the Expenses for Each Sub-Group & Grand Total of the Entire Group.
The sub-Groups need not show Balances Pending, Just the Summary & Total Expenses. The Group can show the Balances of persons involved in all Sub-Groups
This way We know how much we spend on what & Who Owes Who & How Much. Thanks a Ton !!
