Fair enough! Thanks for the feedback, that makes sense. To be clear, the X/Y axis is a balance, not total spending, but you are correct about the pie chart.

Currently, you CAN see your share of things month by month via the “charts” tab on the upper right of the website, and then view full details to see only you share. But I’m leaving this under review to see if any other Pro users feel the same way.

    Best,
    Jon

    Hello Support,

actually I cannot find the feature you are talking about. I would like to see how much money I spent in a particular category in a certain month, no matter who payed and how much I owe someone.

For example if a friend pays 10€ for 5 persons for food, I owe him 2€ for this. If I now pay 20€ for two persons for food as well, I would like to see "12€ for food" somewhere in the charts.
Either do this in a pie chart of all my shares, or in a line graph over a certain period of time, accumulated monthly.

    Best regards,
    Flo

Great idea! To be honest, it’s a lot of extra work to create a custom user-by-user system (maybe a good idea for the Pro version?), so that’s not likely in the near term. But if you have suggestions for words to add, please feel to email us at support@splitwise.com or add them to the comments. We also review the system periodically and add new “magic” words when we think of ones to add.

    Best,
    Jon
