Your comments make sense – you’re definitely not the only person to be confused or frustrated when a friend “accidentally” turns simplify debts on or off. We’re thinking about ways to solve that problem, as well as ways to “close” or permanently settle a group, and I’ll bring up the possibility of a “group admin” again next time we talk about this. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Thanks for the suggestion! Makes sense. We do this on our website (www.splitwise.com), but not in the mobile apps (yet). I’ll leave this open for further voting for now.

I was about to send them a feature request about this. In a nutshell, I want to be an admin inputting data into the group. But I don't want my name to show up when adding an expense. Say there's a group of 2 people, I just want to be a manager / admin for that. Whenever they add an expense, they shouldn't see my name as an option to split etc.
