    I can see how this would be a huge help for people who have many friends with the same name who refuse to add their last name to their accounts! This isn’t on our roadmap yet, but it’s something we’ll consider in the future.

    We just added a very basic calculator function to our web app, so you can now use basic mathematical operations when entering a cost (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We hope to add similar features to our mobile apps at some point in the future!

    Thanks for the suggestion! I can definitely see how this would be a useful feature, but it’s also a fairly rare case in our experience, so it’s not yet on our roadmap. If we do eventually add it, we’ll want to make sure that it works in a non-confusing way, as we’ve found that various other features that transfer debt (the “simplify debts” setting in groups, etc) can sometimes cause serious confusion for the people involved.

    Suppose 'X' has to pay 'Y' 100 bucks. 'X' transfers the expense to 'Z' pay and settles the bill with 'Y' stating "to be paid by Z". Now 'Y' and 'Z' can settle the bill without involvement of 'X'. This helps when X is a friend of Z and doesn't knows Y so well
