We don’t have any plans to add the ability to add bills that have not yet been paid for, because we think it could cause confusion. I’m going to leave this under review for further voting and comments.

It would be great to record an expense which is in the list but it's not taken into account for balancing.
Let's say you plan a vacation and you want to record all the ongoing expenses but the expense is not yet debited from the account yet. So you could check for unpaid and change the checkbox when the account is debited.
