Thanks for the suggestion! I totally understand this use case – “don’t settle up until I add everything” is something I’ve heard friends of mine say anecdotally. I’ll add this to our list of possible improvements for future versions :)

We’ve actually made this feature less accessible over time as we found any people we’re confused by this. We are working on some changes to make it more understandable and will probably make it easier to turn on when we think we’ve got a good explanation for it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Why does Simplify Debts default to off when I create a new group?! I see this as one of the most valuable features of Splitwise, so I believe it should be on. When I'm creating a new group, I sometimes forget to switch that on -- I imagine it's especially confusing for new users, since the button is hidden behind the "advanced settings" submenu. Why would you hide one of your biggest features behind a submenu?

Thanks for the suggestion! I can see how that would be useful, and we’d definitely like to provide better flexibility in our charts and graphs in the future.
Re: attaching a picture, sorry for the trouble! We use UserVoice for our support emails and forums, and unfortunately I don’t think they support attaching files to forum posts yet. Hopefully in the future!
An error occurred while saving the comment The mobile app lets me see "All-time trends" for a given group. The website, however, only lets me see monthly trends. This means that whenever I want to see how much a given group (that potentially spanned multiple months) cost me, I have to use the mobile app.

When I'm on a trip, it's hard to know when everyone else has finished adding all their expenses. A button like "I'm done adding all my expenses" would make it more clear to know when everyone is ready to settle up.
