I presume that you are working on Hiding Groups instead of Deleting them.
What i wanna suggest is that if you can provide both the options, Deleting & Hididng, it would be good.
But Deleting should be done only after all the users in that group are Settled Up.53 votes
Update: we now hide groups that have been settled up for at least 40 days. You can also still delete groups.
We’d definitely like a better way to handle the closing/hiding of groups, besides just deleting the group entirely. We’ve got a lot on our to-do list, but we’re hoping to add this feature in the not-too-distant future :)
Please dont save the details of the itemized bill just as notes.
There is just no easy way to edit an itemized bill when you do that.
I would like it if the same table in which itemized bill data was entered would be shown up again when I try to edit an itemized bill.52 votes

On some versions of Firefox, there is a rare submission bug we’ve seen. And there is a display bug with rounding (where it shows the math not working, but submits correctly). If you have any other trouble, let us know.
Our household is paperless and we scan every bill and receipt. It would be awesome if we could attach a scan of the receipt to the bill.51 votes
Attachments are now supported on all of our platforms: web, iPhone, and Android. When adding a bill, just click the button that says “Add an image” (web) or the button that looks like a camera (iPhone and Android).

It should be possible to have multiple payers on a single bill, just as it's possible to have multiple people split the bill.42 votes
This is now fully supported on the web! When you add a bill, just choose “2+ people paid” in the “who paid” dropdown, and you can record how much each person paid.

I have old friends who have existed in my friend list for a long time, but whom I don't have debts with anymore, but they still show up in the dashboard and make the dashboard unnecessarily long.
A checkbox to maybe not show friends who are even, would be nice41 votes

We don’t currently have plans to add a “select all”/“deselect all” toggle, but there is another way to do this!
In the main “Add bill” form, select the field that says “With you and: [your group]”. Delete the “[your group]” token, then type in the names of the specific people that you want to split the bill with. That way, you can add a bill that is split with only those people, without having to un-check a whole bunch of entries on the “split details” screen. Hope that helps!

Update: this is now available on iPhone. To enable, go to the Me tab and click on Passcode. Once you’ve added a passcode, you will be able to use Touch ID or the passcode to unlock the app.

if 2 couples and 2 individual people sharing bill, then I should be able to add bill such that each person in couple is paying for 2 (i.e. Husband is paying for his wife). So that we don't need to add extra sharing for the wife but bill is also split by exact number of person.31 votes
You can do this by adding expenses by shares on the website.
Give the user the ability to select a default currency. I'm in the UK, so nearly all of my transactions are going to be in GBP (£). It would be really helpful if all my transactions were in £ by default.29 votes
We now have this available to our users! To do this go into your user settings and select the default currency you’d like your relationships to have. Setting this will automatically populate the currency that is set when creating that relationship.
I have 13 groups/trips set up now. We create one for a specific trip and once its settled, rather than delete it, would be good to have a archive section where it can be stored perpetually rather than having to delete. The reason I want to delete is because this list will grow over time and then there are way too many of them.27 votes

My cellphone is within reach to a lot of people and I hate using screen lock. So if the splitwise app is protected with some simple authentication, it would make me feel my account is more secure.
I understand that not everyone would want this extra step, so it could be optional.

once a multiperson bill is split, what appers in the dashboard is only what you need to pay one other person. Editing bills afterwards is very painful and I need to go to each person involved to delete the bill and split it from the start all over again. Instead, if I can see the entire bill with everyone involved in one page, it would be so much more comfortable to go back and edit it.26 votes
Done! From now on, expenses that you split across multiple people can be easily updated and deleted. (Expenses split in the past will still show up as multiple bills, unfortunately – our apologies!)
In a group, why would the group on the whole owe someone money?
Its not really clear how much balance is there to be settled between any two persons.
In my case, I owe a person certain amount but when I click on his name, there is no info on how much I owe him25 votes
The raw repayment amount feature was put in late last week! To get this, go to the settle up button and on the top right you’ll see a slider that lets you switch between simplified payments or the amount each person owes each directly without any debt shuffling.
When looking at the current balance with my friends, it would be useful to hide the ones which I'm settled-up with. I should be able to see them all when adding a new expense.25 votes
Update: all our platforms will now automatically hide friends/groups that you have been settled up with for more than 40 days. We also have a filter on mobile at the top of the friends and groups list to show only people you owe or people who owe you.
I’ll pass on the suggestion! For now, we have a somewhat hidden way to do this already – from the home screen, just tap on the “Total balance” box at the top of the screen, and anyone who’s settled up should disappear. It’s only temporary, but it should help you see who you have balances with at a glance.
It took me a long time to get two accounts merged. I was invited to a vacation group through my school email addres, but don't use that address with splitwise. When I tried to log into splitwise and merge these accounts on a new computer (while traveling abroad), it was impossible. I then had the group organizer add my existing Splitwise account. This created two versions of me in that group! The merge link also broke, until I was able to manually go in and remove one version of me (after zeroing out his debts) and then merge.25 votes

Scroll down to the ‘advanced features’ section.
You will need to know the password for all accounts you want to merge. If you’ve forgotten one or more of your password you may use the password reset feature.
